Trackside Hobbies & Raceway - Team Associated Off-Road Championships

We are thrilled to announce the highly anticipated 2023 Team Associated Offroad Championships, set to take place at the world renowned Trackside Hobbies & Raceway in November. As the epicenter of competition in the Midwest, this race promises an adrenaline-fueled showcase of skill, strategy, and sheer determination. Schedule

As has now been the format for several years, the 2023 Team Associated Off-Road Championships will run over a total of 3 days – 2 days of qualifying and one day of hot Mains! The preceding Wednesday and Thursday are scheduled practice days as well.

Wed Nov. 8th: Practice Day #1 (Open Practice, 11am – 8pm, $12 Fee)
Thurs Nov. 9th: Practice Day #2 (Controlled Practice, 10am – 5:30pm, Seeding Round at 6pm)
Fri Nov. 10th: Qualifying Day #1 (Open at 8am, 2 Rounds of Qualifying begin at 9am)
Sat Nov. 11th: Qualifying Day #2 (Open at 8am, 2 Rounds of Qualifying begin at 9am)
Sun Nov. 12th: MAINS DAY!! (Open at 8am, Mains begin at 9am – Awards to follow

Stock Buggy (17.5 Blinky)
Stock 2WD Short Course Truck (17.5 Blinky)
13.5 4WD Buggy (13.5 Blinky)
* Independant 21.5 2WD Buggy (Blinky)

Modified 2WD Buggy
Modified 4WD Buggy
40+ Modified 2WD Buggy
Sportsman Class features a 5 Minute A-Main
All Short Course classes feature 2 bump-ups and a 7 minute A-Main
All other classes feature Triple-A Mains
Qualifying will be based upon Qual Points
AMB/MyLaps Transponders Only, house transponders available for racing.

Class Rules and Guidelines

The Team Associated Off-Road Championships will adhere to the guidelines set forth by ROAR for the given classes. Please refer to ROAR guidelines for class specific rules (Chassis Specs, Battery Spec, Motor Spec, etc.) If you have questions, please do not hesitate to ask!! All vehicles will be subject to technical inspection as needed.

* Independant 21.5 Buggy will use a 21.5 Hobbywing G2.1 Justock FTM Motor, which must be purchased, sealed, and stickered from Trackside Hobbies for $64.99 (to ensure legality). A fixed gear ratio will be enforced. The final drive ratio must be 5.85. No sponsored drivers of any sort are allowed in this class.

Safe Charging Rules

Battery must be within 10 degrees Fahrenheit of ambient temperature
Max charge voltage of 8.44 for a 2S pack
LiPo fire-safe bag must be used for charging
Pit Mat/Towel is required

We WILL be spot checking any and all racers for the above rules! These are safety requirements and are not open to discussion.
