Trackside Hobbies & Raceway - 2024 US Buggy Championship

With Summer around the corner, this can mean only one thing has yet to transpire to conclude 2024's iteration of indoor RC Racing; The US Buggy Championships.

Spanned over 3 days, with 3 rounds of Qualifying in Rocket Round format, join us in the 7th rendition of this coveted event garnered toward Buggies only (Novice Class Open to all types of vehicle) of the 2wd/4wd variety. An individual clean run can land you amongst the Top 10 in your respective class, but only a proper display of speed and consistency will have you crowned as Champion after a 10 minute long Main Event.

Schedule

The 2024 event will play host to the same vehicle-specific race classes, showcasing some of the very best open-wheel racing in the country!! As has been the case previously, race entries are limited to 2WD and 4WD buggies. The race format will include 3 rounds of qualifying (rocket round structure) and showcase 10 Minute A mains with bump-up format.

Friday, April 12th: Doors open at 10:00am, Open Practice until 4:30pm, 1-Round of qualifying at 5pm.
Saturday, April 13th: Doors open at 9AM, Open practice until 10:45AM qualifying kicks off at 11am. 2 Rounds of qualifying. (Rocket Round Format)
Sunday, April 14th: Doors open at 8AM, Racing begins at 9AM. A main is 10 Minutes, Top 2 bump up. Awards presentation to follow!

Class Rules and Guidelines

The 2024 U.S. Buggy Championships will adhere to the guidelines set forth by ROAR for the given classes. Please refer to ROAR guidelines for class specific rules (Chassis Specs, Battery Spec, Motor Spec, etc.) If you have questions, please do not hesitate to ask!! All vehicles will be subject to technical inspection as needed.

Safe Charging Rules

Battery must be within 10 degrees Fahrenheit of ambient temperature
Max charge voltage of 8.44 for a 2S pack
LiPo fire-safe bag must be used for charging
Pit Mat/Towel is required

We WILL be spot checking any and all racers for the above rules! These are safety requirements and are not open to discussion.
